In some cases, your account may be placed on hold to safeguard you from fraudulent purchases. And don’t worry — you won’t be held accountable for any unauthorized transactions. Our online banking and mobile banking app are equipped with multilayer firewalls and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect your account. SSL is a cryptosystem that creates a secure environment for the information being transferred between your browser and First Service.
Multi-factor authentication is a verification process that helps secure access to your account by requesting more than one piece of information specific to you and your account. When you log in to online banking on a new device or browser, we'll confirm your identity by asking a security question and by sending you a one-time verification code that you can choose to have either emailed or texted to you.
EMV Chip Card Security
EMV chip cards are the latest in card security. You can rest easy with the added protection of smart-chip technology, which makes it virtually impossible for a thief to create a counterfeit copy of your card.
Fraud Text Alerts
As an added level of protection, First Service offers fraud text alerts for all credit and debit cards. We use the latest fraud-detection technology to spot unusual activity, and you will receive a text message within minutes if an unusual transaction should occur.

Report a Lost or Stolen Visa® Debit/Credit Card
If you notice your Visa® debit or credit card is missing, contact us immediately to block your card. If you’re calling during non-business hours, please select option #2.
Prevent Fraud while Traveling
If you’re planning to travel domestically or abroad, let us know. Our Travel Monitoring Service from Visa® will manually review your purchases to protect against fraud and we may even call you to verify transactions.
